Before and After

In addition to providing a secure and engaging environment for students to engage in academic, leisure, and recreational activities outside of the typical school day, before and after school programs also give an opportunity for children to make new friends. Students are exposed to a wide range of activities, including athletics, literacy, and technological advancements, among others.

It is the goal of this program to encourage the development of community learning initiatives that offer academic enrichment opportunities for children outside of school hours, especially for those who attend local schools. In addition to assisting students in meeting state and local student standards in core academic subjects such as reading and math, the program provides students with a diverse range of enrichment activities that can be used in conjunction with their regular academic programs, as well as literacy and other educational services to the families of participating students.
